Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work as part of a wider disciplinary team, offering educational and therapeutic support in a young person's home, as part of a bespoke EOTAS package based in Horsham, West Sussex.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Providing low‑demand support for 6 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday, 10‑1pm term time only.
  • Working within a low‑demand, interest‑led provision in the young person's family home.
  • Assisting in engagement, emotional regulation, and adapting to the changing needs of the individual you are supporting.
  • Collaborating with tutors, therapists, and the wider team to ensure the provision is delivered as per the young person's EHCP.
  • Accompanying the student on outings and to community‑based activities as required.
  • Supporting learning through interest‑based and therapeutic approaches, using a child‑led approach.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD, and PDA.
  • Familiarity with child‑led approaches.
  • Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and family.
  • Comfortable working in a home‑based and community setting.
Essential Criteria
  • 2+ years experience as an LSA/TA or in a similar child‑facing support role.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service).
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle; non‑drivers should not apply.
Desirable Criteria
  • Minimum of a Level 1 Safeguarding qualification.
  • Training in trauma‑informed approaches.
  • Experience in EOTAS, alternative provision, or home education environments.
  • First Aid Training.
