SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our special school in Upminster. This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a caring and structured environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to help deliver engaging lessons and provide tailored support, ensuring every learner can access high-quality education and training.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils within a special school setting, helping them to access the curriculum and engage positively with learning. You will support students with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development throughout the school day.

You will work closely with class teachers and other professionals to implement individual education plans, adapt learning resources, and maintain a safe, structured environment. Supporting pupils during lessons, break times, and transitions will be an important part of the role.
