Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Corby area.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum and succeed in their learning. Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other support colleagues, you\'ll provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN and additional learning needs

  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and targeted interventions

  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social interaction

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting

  • A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting students to thrive

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
