Job Title: Level 2 Learning Support Assistant

Location: Oldbury, West Midlands

Hours: Monday to Friday Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £90 - £106

Smart Education is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-resourced Primary SEN school in Oldbury, supporting pupils aged 2-11 with a range of needs including Complex Needs, PMLD, Physical and Medical Needs, and ASC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assist with learning activities, sensory work, and communication programmes
  • Support pupils with physical care, mobility, and medical routines (training provided)
  • Promote engagement, positive behaviour, and independence
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Teaching and Learning Support qualification or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (Complex Needs, PMLD, ASC preferred)
  • Calm, patient, reliable, and proactive
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
