Role: Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Part time, Permanent

Hours: 6.5 HOURS per week (Fridays only, 8.15am - 3.15pm)

Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year

Salary: Scale 3 Point 5 - 6, £25583 - £25989 FTE (Actual Salary £3795 - £3809)

Closing Date: 12th January 2026 at 12pm noon

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support team. You should be approachable, patient and understanding to support identified students with special educational needs and/or disabilities to enable them to access the curriculum.

Duties include:

  • Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
  • Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
