Learning Support Assistant - Newark-on-Trent

Location: Newark-on-Trent and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Supply
Pay Rate: 82.08 - 96.96 per day (dependent on experience and role)

Are you a patient, caring, and motivated individual passionate about supporting children's learning and development? We are always recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive schools in the Newark-on-Trent area.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping pupils overcome challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

About the Role
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and participation in class activities
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support tailored learning plans
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience supporting children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
  • A compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Passionate about helping every child succeed
