Learning Mentor – New Barn School

We’re looking for a Learning Mentor to support pupils with complex SEND and SEMH needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and feel safe, understood, and empowered.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare learning materials and support planning.
  • Guide pupils through classroom activities.
  • Deliver hands‑on, personalised support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to embed a therapeutic, pupil‑centred approach.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in the SEMH or SEN sector.
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASC (an advantage).
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, genuinely passionate about helping young people flourish.
Salary & Working Hours

Salary: £23,638 per year (not pro rata) / £13.25 per hour.

Hours: 40/week, Monday‑Friday.

Start: December 2025 / January 2026.

Permanent, term‑time only.

Location and Eligibility

Welford RG20 8HZ, UK only (no sponsorship).
