Overview

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for experienced Learning Disabilities Support Workers (Days Only) to join our team at Langdale House. You’ll be working 42 hours a week from 08:00 to 20:00, including alternate weekends. Langdale House is a specialist residential service supporting individuals with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The main house accommodates up to eight residents and offers spacious communal areas, a dedicated activity room and an enclosed outdoor garden. In the grounds, we have two new single-occupancy flats in the Coach House. Each flat boasts a double bedroom with fitted furniture, a bathroom / wet room and open plan living and kitchen space.

Responsibilities
  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
