Base pay range
Learning Content Editor
Contract: 12 months maternity cover
Based: Remote
Salary: Up to £38,340 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- .edit, develop, update and/or repurpose learning resources across our business areas for online and print delivery.
- Work with subject matter experts and learning technologists to edit content to meet customer needs.
- Rewrite or ghost-write parts of texts on projects based on research and expert guidance where needed.
- Manage editorial workflow according to best-practice publishing processes.
- Adapt content for appropriate audience and simplify technical content as required.
- Demonstrate solid writing and fact-checking skills; ensure content meets expectations for online learning.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Sound copy editing and proofreading skills, including the ability to simplify technical content.
- The ability to assess content suitability for its intended audience and reshape as needed.
- Strong writing and fact-checking skills.
- Understanding of the requirements for effective online learning.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and establish good working relationships.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
Location, duration and working pattern
This role can be based primarily at home with our London office or other offsite locations specified when we would expect the post-holder to attend any necessary meetings or workshop activities on-site.
