Job summary

A well-established training provider in Cheshire is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Coach to support young people with additional needs aged 16-24. You will provide individual and small group support, implement strategies for learner development, and promote emotional wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational support and a commitment to safeguarding. This full-time role offers a salary of £28,000 - £31,000 and the potential for local travel. A DBS check is required.

Role: Learning Coach

Salary: 28,000 - 31,000

Eden Brown, a well‑established training provider based in Cheshire, is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Coach to support young people aged 16‑24 on Study Programmes. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an individual passionate about inclusion, learner development, and supporting young people with additional needs, including SEN, SEMH, and those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and small‑group support to learners with additional needs
  • Implement and monitor strategies outlined in EHCPs
  • Promote learners' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence
  • Support classroom delivery through differentiated approaches
  • Track learner progress, behaviour, and engagement, maintaining accurate records
  • Build strong, positive relationships with learners and their families
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals
  • Manage a caseload of learners, including workplace interventions where required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to source work placements
  • Support learners and employers throughout work experience placements
  • Ensure safeguarding, equality, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Essential Requirements
  • Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage a varied workload
  • Experience supporting young people with additional needs
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
Desirable
  • Experience working with EHCPs
  • Background in education, training, or youth support
  • Knowledge of government‑funded training programmes
  • Experience engaging with employers or coordinating work placements
  • Relevant education or SEN‑related qualification

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for local travel.
