Learning and Development Officer

- Salary: Umbrella - £33.64 per hour; PAYE - £24.96 per hour

We are seeking an exceptional Learning and Development Officer to design and deliver training programs focused on the NEC Housing system, particularly the EDMS and IHMS applications.
Day-to-day of the role
- Deliver in-person training and design courses tailored to the needs of the Benefits and Housing Needs, Customer Services, and Revenues teams.
- Create a variety of training programmes that include system, legislative, policy, process, and interpersonal skills.
- Manage and prioritise training needs, being proactive and able to work under pressure to meet high demands.
- Ensure the effective delivery of training for staff at all levels, maintaining a track record of successful outcomes.
- Conduct ongoing research to stay updated with changes in policy and legislation, and use this information to develop and evaluate training courses.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Housing Benefit and/or Homelessness Reduction and Prevention.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering engaging training programs.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and organisational skills.
- Ability to identify training needs through analysis and regular consultation with stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
- High proficiency in Google applications and enthusiasm for learning new systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and inclusive approach to work.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and creative with a strong sense of drive and integrity.
