Qualifications

• Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning content creation.
• Strong working knowledge of LMS systems.
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Evolve (and desirably Storyline or Captivate).
• Experience with AI-driven content creation.
• Understanding of ADDIE, Kirkpatrick and best-practice learning methodologies.
• Creative thinking, strong communication and outstanding organisational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.
• A passion for digital learning innovation and exploring what’s possible.

• Build blended learning journeys that combine e-learning, live sessions and on-the-job activities.

• Ensure content meets accessibility standards and reflects best-in-class instructional design.
• Apply ADDIE and Kirkpatrick methodologies to design, measure and improve learning.
• Support facilitators with high-quality resources.
• Analyse learning data to understand performance and opportunities for improvement.

Learning and Development Digital Designer – Fixed place of work, predominately home based with some nationwide travel, own transport ideal. £30,000pa – £35,000pa + excellent benefits. 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with some flexibility depending on business requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and enhance e‑learning modules using Mapal and other LMS platforms.
• Create induction, refresher, compliance and safety training that supports thousands of colleagues.
• Build blended learning journeys that combine e‑learning, live sessions and on‑the‑job activities.
• Use AI‑driven tools such as Synthesia, Mindsmith and more to create dynamic learning content.
• Work closely with subject‑matter experts to identify needs and transform them into impactful learning.
• Ensure content meets accessibility standards and reflects best‑in‑class instructional design.
• Apply ADDIE and Kirkpatrick methodologies to design, measure and continuously improve learning.
• Support facilitators with high‑quality resources, toolkits and virtual session materials.
• Analyse learning data to understand performance, behaviours and opportunities for improvement.
• Champion innovation and help the business adopt new digital learning tools and approaches.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in instructional design and e‑learning content creation.
