A leading veterinary provider in England is seeking a Lead Vet to join their Medivet Thurmaston 24-Hour hospital. The role offers a 4-day week with 1 in 6 weekends and includes a £5,000 joining bonus. The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with a strong client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. Enjoy access to great facilities and a supportive team atmosphere that values collaboration. This position provides the opportunity for a beneficial work-life balance while delivering outstanding animal care.
Looking for your next leadership step in a supportive, well‑equipped hospital? Medivet Thurmaston 24‑Hour is a vibrant 2.5 Vet practice led by our Practice Manager, Claire, and we’re excited to welcome a Lead Vet to our growing team.
You’ll enjoy a 4‑day week (Monday‑Friday) with 1 in 6 weekends (including bank holiday rotation) giving you genuine work‑life balance. We’re also happy to chat about part‑time options if that suits you better.
Our Thurmaston hospital has been fully refurbished and offers an excellent surgical and soft‑tissue caseload, supporting both Medivet and local independent practices with OOH services. You’ll have access to everything you need to deliver outstanding care – digital and dental X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, a tonometer, and orthopaedic kit – with plans underway to expand our three consult rooms even further.
If you’d like to find out more or just have an informal chat before applying, get in touch with Serena at serena.khima@medivet.co.uk - we’d love to hear from you.
