A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Nurse in Wrexham to join a modern, independent small animal practice. The clinic provides a full range of veterinary services, including general surgery, dentistry, x-rays, ultrasound, preventative care such as vaccinations, and access to a state‑of‑the‑art on‑site laboratory for rapid diagnostics. With partnerships with 24/7 Pet A&E and emergency services, this role offers exposure to a varied caseload and the chance to work alongside a skilled and supportive veterinary team.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, RCVS registered veterinary nurse, confident in carrying out all aspects of clinical nursing. You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop nursing staff, support clinical best practices, and take an active role in team training, rota management, and staff development, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
This role also offers the chance to become or work as a clinical coach, overseeing compliance with Health & Safety and RCVS Practice Standards, while promoting professional growth and excellence across the team. With a strong focus on client care and practice growth, the Lead Veterinary Nurse will help increase caseloads, delivering high quality, affordable veterinary care to more pets across Wrexham and the surrounding areas.
