Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Locality Manager by working on shift to provide day-to-day support to the staff team.
  • Delivering excellent person-centred support through supervisions, positive role modelling, team meetings, observations, and consistent 1:1 support.
  • Understanding and supporting the individuals you assist, providing both emotional and practical assistance.
  • Ensuring effective communication within the team and with the individuals supported.
  • Managing health and safety issues and overseeing medication administration.
  • Maintaining daily records accurately and promptly.
  • Liaising with families and participating in family meetings.
  • Taking part in the on-call rota for weekends.

This role combines leadership, direct support, and administrative tasks to ensure the well-being and development of both the individuals supported and the support team.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism
  • A commitment to empowering people, working closely with their family, and maintaining a positive and compassionate nature.
  • Self-direction, the ability to take responsibility, and remaining calm in difficult situations.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
