Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

The SRE Team:

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and rich feature sets for our users.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will review, lead, and drive our strategic approach to software maturity, security, performance, and scalability across our cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to shape the team's future. Key skills include:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs in containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Collaborating in an agile environment with business stakeholders
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• Using CloudFormation or CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
