Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and a rich feature set for our users.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop real-world solutions to enhance user experiences.

You will review and lead strategies on the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with a high degree of autonomy to shape the team’s future using your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments such as Kubernetes
• Implementing/enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation/CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
