Location:

Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

The SRE Team

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for our users.

About the role

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and drive our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to shape the team’s future direction. Key skills include:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform Management
• API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• Using CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
