Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Head of Engineering to manage SRE functions daily, developing real-world solutions, and ensuring positive user experiences. You will oversee the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to shape the team's future using your extensive skills in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Working with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • Using CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
