Overview

Lead Quality Inspector
Amesbury, Wiltshire

This is a great opportunity to join a niche company based in Wiltshire. You will be leading their Quality department, remaining hands on with inspections using a variety of metrology equipment, whilst handling the reporting side as well.

The Role
  • Leading the Quality department.
  • Compilation of detailed ISIRs (Initial Sample Inspection Reports).
  • Managing 1 inspector - potential to grow the team in future.
  • Inspecting fuel system components.
  • Using a range of metrology equipment, verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Identifying and investigating all non-conforming parts, including preparing NCRs.
  • Overall control for all inspection of parts received from suppliers.
  • Work closely with the production and R&D teams to streamline processes.
The Candidate
  • 3 years experience in Inspection.
  • Experience in mentoring/supporting junior colleagues would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience using a variety of metrology equipment.
  • QC focused, not strictly QA - need to be happy with hands on inspection.
  • Knowledge/Experience of fuel systems would be advantageous.
