We’re looking for a Lead Project Manager to join our Central Project Management team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a high-profile role supporting major integration and transformation programmes, offering you the chance to be part of a high-performing team at the forefront of GXO’s transformation journey. We’re looking to offer a salary of £70,000 - £75,000, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead large-scale, complex projects and transformational programmes across GXO and its customers
  • Scope, plan, and deliver multiple concurrent projects, managing risks, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
  • Coach and mentor project managers and workstream leads, supporting their development and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define deliverables, create project charters, and ensure successful execution
  • Use tools such as MS Project, Microsoft 365 applications and power platform (Power BI, and Power Automate) to track progress, report outcomes, and drive continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience delivering large, complex projects in logistics, defence, healthcare, or other regulated sectors
  • Strong emotional intelligence and adaptability – able to lead through ambiguity and influence diverse teams
  • Formal qualifications in project and change management (Prince2, MSP, ADKAR or ACT) is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and project tools, with a keen interest in emerging technologies
  • Willingness to travel and manage your own workload with flexibility and autonomy
