Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Nursery as a Lead Practitioner. This is a job share position for 30 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Minimum full Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Experience of working with young children and babies
  • Room leadership experience or experience of working with under two's
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and Development Matters
  • Good sense of initiative and strong leadership skills
  • Commitment to Early Years and high quality teaching and learning
Responsibilities
  • Run and manage the baby room and oversee the team to ensure high quality teaching, learning and care for all children
  • Plan fun and stimulating activities that reflect and support each child’s individual learning experiences and next steps
  • Delegate the team, arrange room meetings, carry out room/team observations and provide feedback and training
  • Plan the environment of the room and monitor impact, implement new ideas to support best practice
  • Work as part of a team, implement outstanding practice, display high levels of interaction with children, and show initiative and leadership
  • Oversee observation and assessments, implement the Nursery’s visions and values, and work closely with the Nursery Manager
  • Be a key person to a group of children and liaise closely with Parents and Carers
