Job responsibilities

What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We support a positive work-life balance and will discuss flexible options where possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring effective delivery of the highly specialist Occupational Therapy service
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner to plan and prioritise a complex clinical caseload
  • Work closely with patients and their family/carers to encourage participation in the therapeutic process
  • Provide supervision, teaching, and appraisal for junior occupational therapists, assistants, students and other MDT members
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service
  • Develop Occupational Therapy treatment programmes in collaboration with patients, carers and other involved professionals
  • Participate in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including incident management and reporting
  • Maintain high levels of communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support and inspire colleagues to improve standards and professional practice
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
