Senior Mechanical Engineer: Offshore Wind - Balance of Plant

Our client is currently seeking talented engineers to join their team and support a new Offshore Wind project, focusing on Lifting, HVAC, and Substation systems.

Role:

This role is suitable for Senior / Lead / Principal Mechanical Engineers with experience in Offshore Wind Balance of Plant (BoP), equipment, or utilities, including cranes, pumps, generators, water systems, lifting, HVAC, T&I, and Topside design.

Essential experience includes senior mechanical engineering expertise in BoP/equipment for offshore structures, ideally offshore substations. Suitable for candidates with backgrounds in offshore oil & gas or wind energy sectors, covering offshore engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, testing, operation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities include:
  • EPCI activities related to engineering, procurement, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance for offshore platforms.
  • Design and review of BoP/offshore equipment/utilities for offshore wind or O&G substations/platforms.
  • Technical and engineering requirements development and review.
  • Reviewing bidders' technical proposals and providing design clarifications.
Experience:
  • BoP/offshore equipment/utilities for offshore wind or O&G substations/platforms.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields such as Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with EPCI projects involving offshore platforms.
Advantages:
  • Experience working with developers or EPCI contractors on offshore structures.
  • Experience with HVDC offshore platforms.

Location: UK or EU, with hybrid working (office & WFH).
