Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Lead Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a high-end commercial property in Central London. Overview

Job Title: Lead Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Central London

Site: High-End Commercial Property (Static)

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all mechanical maintenance activities on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and specialist sub-contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, asset history, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with the building management team to ensure a seamless and high-quality service delivery.
What We're Looking For
  • A time-served mechanical engineer with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering).
  • Proven experience working in a similar role within a corporate or high-end commercial environment.
