Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting and leading Windows-based infrastructure estates.
• Strong technical capability across VMware, Hyper-V, SQL and automation tooling.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell and/or Bash).
• Proven experience leading incident response and resolving complex technical issues.
• Demonstrable ability to coordinate and mentor a small engineering team.
• Experience operating within structured change and governance frameworks.
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across technical and programme domains.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Leatherhead, Reading, Chippenham and Bridgend.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BAU technical delivery including patching, backups, configuration changes and service availability.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents, owning high-priority issues through to resolution.
• Plan and prioritise technical workload, promoting knowledge sharing, cross-skilling and engineering capability growth.
• Represent technical infrastructure interests in change boards, architecture reviews and governance forums.
• Maintain adherence to change, incident and documentation processes in line with company and client standards.
• Provide technical direction for new initiatives, balancing operational continuity with evolving programme needs.
• Contribute hands-on across technologies.
