We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Lead Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic team and drive excellence in teaching and learning across a Food Technology department. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Lead Food Technology Teacher:

  • Lead and develop an engaging, forward-thinking Food Technology curriculum.

  • Inspire and motivate students to develop practical skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of nutrition and food science.

  • Support and mentor team members, sharing best practice and fostering professional development.

  • Take responsibility for departmental outcomes, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student progress.

  • Promote a safe, inclusive and high-achieving learning environment within a well-resourced food technology suite.

Ideal Lead Food Technology Teacher:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Food Technology.

  • Proven track record of excellent classroom teaching and strong student outcomes.

  • Experience of curriculum planning, assessment and delivering GCSE (and/or BTEC) qualifications.

  • A commitment to raising aspirations and achievement across all key stages as Lead Food Technology Teacher.

  • Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative and supportive approach.
