As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be at the heart of our technology transformation, helping to create a secure and unified Azure platform. You will lead the way in automation, guiding how we build, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code. You will drive our migration to Azure, develop strong automation frameworks and inspire a talented team, always putting security, compliance and engineering excellence first.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of cloud engineers, managing the provisioning and operation of cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, Nutanix and OCI
  • Drive the migration and simplification of our cloud estate into Azure, ensuring consistency and operational excellence
  • Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Terraform, GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform and Packer, creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code assets for Azure services
  • Champion best practice in cloud-native design, automation and engineering maturity, setting standards for Infrastructure as Code and ensuring security, compliance and quality at every stage
  • Collaborate with architecture, security and application teams, providing technical leadership, supporting disaster recovery, optimising infrastructure and ensuring timely support for incidents
Developing Our People

as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

We would love to hear from you if you have
  • Experience delivering cloud infrastructure services on Azure and AWS, with hands-on skills in Terraform, GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform and Packer
  • A strong understanding of Azure Well-Architected Frameworks, Resiliency by Design and experience leading large migrations from on-premises and AWS to Azure
  • Practical knowledge of Shift Left Security Principles, delivering Infrastructure as Code through pipelines and using native cloud services for load balancing, firewalls and DNS
  • Proficiency in cloud networking and security, including Palo Alto, with a solid background in site reliability engineering, cloud security and disaster recovery using Azure Site Recovery Manager
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and security, such as Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer or Terraform Associate; experience with Oracle Cloud and Nutanix is a bonus
