Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for seating systems including structures, foam, trim, mechanisms, and electronics.
• Ensure integration with vehicle architecture, occupant packaging, and restraint systems.
• Work closely with Studio Design, Safety, Ergonomics, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Support virtual builds, physical prototypes, and launch activities across global sites.
• Manage technical discussions with Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring alignment on design, tooling, and delivery.
• Review and approve DFMEAs, DVPs, and PPAP documentation.
• Ensure seating systems meet crash safety, comfort, durability, NVH, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive development of advanced seating features such as massage, ventilation, memory, and smart sensors.

Skills

Extensive experience in automotive seating systems or interior engineering

Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5)

Strong understanding of occupant safety, ergonomics, and comfort engineering

Excellent communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline
