Job description
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

You will work at the intersection of underwriting and algorithm development, ensuring that the development, calibration, validation and monitoring of their risk assessment models meets commercial and regulatory requirements, whilst effectively serving their end users at the point of quote (brokers).

You will be overseeing the development of the Company’s scalable digital risk- and portfolio-pricing capabilities, leveraging actuarial and machine learning approaches to support their line size generation. Some of things you might oversee include:

  • Researching and developing cutting‑edge risk modelling approaches
  • Identifying and calibrating new rating factors for classes of business which are continually evolving (like Cyber insurance!)
  • Exploring external data sets and sources of information to use in their assessment of risk
Qualifications required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a STEM field
  • Senior Qualified actuary (with significant post‑qualification experience) or equivalent Qualified‑by‑Experience
Experience required:
  • Experience managing and enabling a team of individuals as a capability, either via people management or in a technical leadership role
