Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Laser Etch Operativeto join our world-class team working on a 3-month fixed term contract on a weekend shift. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all components are accurately and consistently marked in accordance with design intent, quality standards, and FIA/UIL regulations. Working within a fast-paced motorsport environment, you will play a key role in maintaining component traceability

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately laser etch all metallic components to design specification and quality requirements.
  • Apply label part marking to composite components, ensuring compliance with design, FIA, and UIIL standards.
  • Maintain full traceability within ERP and Lifecheck systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of component identification and record keeping across all manufacturing stages.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Mechanical Inspectors, Production Control, Project Engineers, and Stores.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput while maintaining accuracy.
  • Uphold company standards, reporting procedures, and Health & Safety policies at all times.
  • Carry out other duties as required in line with the role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of both metallic and composite materials.
  • Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar.
  • Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Calm, confident, and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicator with a positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving team.
  • Results-oriented, decisive, and enthusiastic with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
Please note this role is working on a weekend shift.
