Job summary

A leading Infrastructure Consultancy is seeking a Land Assembly Assistant to support land acquisition and possession for railway construction projects. This role involves working with various teams to manage land referencing data and prepare statutory notices. Ideal candidates are graduates in geography or geospatial fields, or those with relevant data experiences. The position offers structured training and a hybrid working model, allowing three days in the office each week.

Land Assembly Assistant

Salary: £29,000 - £36,340 per annum
Location: Birmingham (Snow Hill), hybrid - 3 days in office
Closing Date: 14 December 2025
Start Date: February 2026

About the Role

Join a major UK infrastructure programme as a Land Assembly Assistant supporting land acquisition and possession for railway construction. You'll work with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to assure land referencing data, prepare and track statutory notices, and support land assembly governance. FLAB sessions and spatial data analysis are key parts of the role.

This role is suitable for graduates (e.g., geography, geospatial) or those with some land referencing or data experience. Full training is provided.

  • Ability to read and analyse maps/spatial data.

  • Good time management and prioritisation.

  • Keen to learn and proactive, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Working Environment
  • Based primarily in Birmingham; hybrid working available.

  • Supporting Phase 1 and Phase 2a of a major programme.
