Description

We are looking for a skilled Composite Laminator to join our world-class team on a short contract. In this role you will play a key part in manufacturing advanced laminated composite components that meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with department managers and supervisors, you will ensure all components are produced in line with engineering drawings, laminate manuals, and strict process guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture composite components to the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare moulds and tooling for laminating in accordance with departmental processes.
  • Operate and monitor autoclaves, following precise cure cycle parameters.
  • Load, unload, and break out components efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure all materials are used per specification and laid up in accordance with design data.
  • Accurately record time, materials, and other data in the ERP system.
  • Cut and prepare composite materials to maximise usage and minimise waste.
  • Continuously develop personal technical knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping and organisation of work areas.
  • Report any quality, equipment, or process issues promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Work proactively, responsibly, and in line with the company’s professional and reporting standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Previous experience in a motorsport or high-performance manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of composite laminating techniques, material specifications, and cure parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow technical instructions.
  • Proven experience working with autoclaves, moulds, and composite layup tools.
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and respectful approach.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive within a dynamic team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to Health & Safety.
