  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety requirements.
  • Monitor and calibrate pH meters.

Job description

Are you looking to gain some further experience in a Lab Setting? Do you have prior experience in Lab Support / Technician duties?

A Laboratory Incubator Space in Glasgow, Scotland are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join them immediately on a temporary basis for 3 months, with the possibility of extending or going permanent. The Laboratory space houses multiple tenants across various labs; your responsibilities will ensure the smooth operation of these labs.

ROLE OVERVIEW :
  • £15 per hour, Full Time 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00‑5:30, starting with a contract on 19 01 26
  • Oversee maintenance and refilling of liquid nitrogen and gas cylinders.
  • Ordering and storage of consumables.
  • Maintenance of Water Purification System.
  • Support tenants of the laboratories and act as an intermediary to facilitate external support (e.g., from maintenance engineers).
  • Oversee and maintain adherence to Health & Safety requirements.
  • Monitoring and calibrating pH meters.
TO BE CONSIDERED
  • You must be available to begin immediately in Glasgow, Scotland.
  • Prior experience in a similar Lab Technician or Lab Support role.
  • Experience handling liquid nitrogen and gas cylinders.
  • Experience calibrating pH meters.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Manual handling capability.
