Job summary

A vibrant primary school in Knebworth is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to inspire young learners and create a positive classroom environment. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, monitoring pupil development, and contributing to the school life.   • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.

  • Differentiate activities to support all abilities, ensuring progress for every child.

  • Foster a stimulating, inclusive classroom that encourages curiosity and independence.

  • Monitor pupil development and maintain accurate records of attainment and progress.

  • Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

  • Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, trips and special events.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2.

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective assessment strategies.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills as a KS2 Teacher.

  • Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
