Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wellbeing and development of a child with additional needs, including supporting with challenging behaviour and the impact of trauma.
About you
  • Has experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and/or who have experienced trauma.
  • Ideally has experience of working with previously looked after children.
  • Is patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Can work well as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
