Overview

We're looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant who will be the heart of our operation for CH&CO on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

Food Service

  • Serve all food to the highest standard and in line with the CH&CO style using the correct tools and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and serve all beverages in a timely manner and to the CH&COstandard.
  • To assist with food preparation in kitchen to the CH&COstandard asrequired
  • To set up service counters for service and keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&COstandards.
  • Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen and service areas to comply with cleaningschedules.
  • Under the guidance of the GM / AGM ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas have products correctly priced, labelled and indate.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during serviceperiods.
  • Assist in the cleaning and clearing of tables polishing ofcutlery.
  • Clean and replenish vending machines, if necessary, with change and product and deal with minor vending issues (blocked cans/incorrect loading). Report any vending issues that cannot be resolved to the AGM/GM.
  • Handle the till and cash sales accurately and take responsibility for the security of all monies in the till and assist with cashing up procedures.
  • Assist in monthly stock take as directed.
  • Customer Service
  • Maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers at the relevantsite.
  • Attend to customer needs in a polite and helpful and friendly manner providing assistance where necessary in line with the CH&COstyle.
  • Provide information to customers about the food and makerecommendations.
  • Work with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Health & Safety
  • To understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standards.
  • Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform itemsappropriately.
  • Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazard to the GM/ AGM.
  • Occasional Responsibilities
  • To attend training courses and attend CH&CO meetings when necessary
  • Assist in monthly stock take as directed.
