Key Stage 5 Learning Mentor and Academic Support Worker - East London (Term Time Only)

Career Teachers is currently recruiting for a committed and student-focused Learning Mentor and Academic Support Worker to join a vibrant Sixth Form in East London. This is a term-time only role (195 days) plus 72 flexible hours, supporting students in Key Stage 5 with both academic and pastoral needs.

  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver 1:1 and group interventions
  • Confident managing student behaviour and supporting wellbeing
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and working with external agencies
  • Must be UK-based and eligible to work in the UK

You will work closely with the Director of Sixth Form and wider pastoral team to support students\' academic progress, attendance, and emotional wellbeing. This includes mentoring, managing study spaces, delivering enrichment activities, and liaising with families and external services.
