Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with special educational needs on a full-time, one-to-one basis. The successful candidate will help foster a nurturing environment, lead phonics lessons occasionally, and require a Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification. Qualifications

  • Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification, preferably NVQ or CACHE.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis.
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

  • Support a child in Year 1 with SEND on a one-to-one basis.
  • Lead phonics lessons on occasion.
  • Foster an environment enabling pupils to lead their own learning.

Skills

Experience supporting pupils with SEN

Sutton Coldfield – Immediate Start

Role Overview

Support a child in Year 1 with SEND on a full‑time, one‑to‑one basis in a nurturing environment in Sutton Coldfield. The successful candidate may also lead phonics lessons on occasion and may be placed for up to a full academic year.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting a Y1 child with SEND on a full‑time, one‑to‑one basis, leading phonics lessons occasionally, and fostering an environment where pupils lead their own learning.

Qualifications
  • Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN on a one‑to‑one basis
  • Experience of MAKATON is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years
