A leading trade merchant is seeking a Key Account Manager to cover the North East, North West, and Leeds. This field-based role involves identifying and developing major accounts, engaging with stakeholders, and managing customer relationships. Identify and develop new and existing major accounts to maximise the growth of sales and margin
Playing a key role in identifying and tracking key projects and their packages in your geographical region
Full management of your accounts
Engagement with key stakeholders
Proactive approach to tracking and converting customer quotations within the account portfolio and region
Build strong relationships with customers, managing around 30 accounts
Ensure outstanding customer care through customers and branches to realise market potential, ensuring regular personal face to face meetings with allocated and large regional customers
Communicating and working with suppliers to develop relationships between the depots and suppliers, enhancing our customer service, whilst presenting business reports and preparing sales forecasts.
Please note, this is a field-based role and so regular travel will be required, you will be covering the North East, North West and Leeds
Industry experience is preferable
Significant Face to Face sales experience with a proven track record of delivery
Background of account management with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility
Exceptional communication skills with strong responsibility and accountability for delivery of a business strategy
Understanding of sales reports and drivers, and analysing customer trends
