Junior Quality Systems Engineer (IATF 16949)

Location: Birmingham

Department: Quality / QHSE

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Quality Systems Engineer to support the maintenance and improvement of our Quality and QHSE management systems. This role is ideal for someone with some experience of quality systems who is keen to learn, develop and build a career in quality engineering.

You will work closely with senior quality and HSE staff and receive training in IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and wider QHSE systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems
• Help update procedures, work instructions and quality documents
• Assist with internal audits and preparation for external audits
• Support investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions
• Assist with basic HSE tasks such as risk assessments and inspections
• Help collect and report quality and safety data

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Some experience working with a quality management system (IATF 16949 or ISO 9001)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or engineering environments
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and develop

Desirable

• Exposure to IATF 16949
• Internal audit experience or training
• H&S awareness or qualifications
