Overview

Junior Project Manager Reading
Up to £45,000 plus benefits package

Our client is a leading specialist sub-contractor in the UK offering the complete design, supply and installation of complex packages on large infrastructure projects including metal work and cladding solutions. They are looking to strengthen their Operations team with a Project Manager who would be working on international projects. With an extensive portfolio of works up to £15 million in value, including a number of interiors packages on large prestigious commercial new builds in the USA, they seek a key member of the management team.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the site, reporting to the Projects Director, and ensure works proceed in a safe manner.
• Coordinate input from each department to maximise efficiency and add value to the project.
• Be fully conversant with contract documents including correspondence; understand and interpret drawings; research, establish and develop installation method statements and installation programmes.
• Maintain reporting, record keeping and project reviews; implement the business management system procedures; provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project.
• Plan activities safely and manage on-site activities with direct responsibility for all site-related tasks.

Required Attributes and Experience

• Ideally have worked in a similar role managing projects remotely, handling interior packages and the design and procurement of packages.
• Strong academic background (HND or Degree) in a construction or engineering-related discipline.
• Computer literate with programming and planning experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work without supervision and use initiative.

Compensation and Benefits
