Job description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Production Merchandiser to join a fashion forward brand.
Based in Birmingham, this role is open to experienced professionals or recent graduates from a fashion-related background who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. You will be overseeing production, managing critical path and fit samples, ensuring on time deliveries.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Allocate tech packs to factories for sampling and collaborate with the design team to resolve any queries.
  • Follow up on samples to ensure timely delivery for selection meetings, file and organize samples, and update sample rails by supplier.
  • Oversee critical path management, track and manage sampling and production critical paths for each supplier and ensure all key dates are met to achieve on-time delivery.
  • Conduct weekly critical path meetings with suppliers to review progress and address any issues.
  • Create and refine style specifications, including grading for various sizes and territories.
  • Review and approve fit samples, providing feedback on prototypes (Protos), pre-production samples (PPS), and production samples (PS) to suppliers.
  • Update the critical path with new purchase orders and oversee production to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with the operations team on packaging and shipping requirements.

Person Specifications:

  • Have experience or a fashion education across design or buying or a related field.
  • Prior experience in product development or production is a plus, but our client are open to training the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
  • Positive person with a willingness to learn and grow in a fashion role.
