Junior Operations Manager — Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per year. Location: Manchester (office-based initially, hybrid once embedded).

About the Role

We’re hiring a Junior Operations Manager to join a growing FinTech in Manchester that specialises in flexible payment plans. This is an exciting time to come on board: early stage, high visibility, steep learning curve, with strong investor backing. You’ll help shape how operations are built and run, with plenty of opportunity to grow as the company scales.

What you’ll do
  • Support and streamline operational workflows across teams (customer support, merchant onboarding, compliance)
  • Help design processes for KYC/AML checks, customer journeys, and merchant partnerships
  • Monitor KPIs, spot bottlenecks, and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with tech/product teams to optimise systems and dashboards
  • Assist with planning, resourcing, and reporting
  • Stay informed on emerging FinTech trends, especially AI, to bring new ideas into operations
What we’re looking for
  • 1–3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related (FinTech or startups ideal)
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn across multiple disciplines
  • Good technical aptitude (comfortable with data, tools, and dashboards)
  • Clear communicator, collaborative mindset
