About Our Client

Our client is an established ladies multi-channel fashion retailer based in the West Midlands. They are looking for a talented individual to join and support the merchandising team. The Junior Merchandiser will support the wider merchandising team. The company continues to design and develop products for a broad range of consumers, seeking to bring the correct look and fit for customers of all ages by utilizing the highest quality fabrics and raw materials to ensure that the product fits beautifully and performs well.

Job Description

  1. Prepare reports and present in weekly and monthly trading meetings.
  2. Drive the trade model.
  3. Review daily and weekly sales performance and take actions where required.
  4. Review over and underperformance at the product level and drive trading actions to maximize potential and minimize risk.
  5. Manage a WSSI by accurately forecasting demand, OTB, returns, and margin.
  6. Take ownership of the critical path and address issues as they arise.
  7. Prepare trading reports/packs and make recommendations for reporting improvements across the B&M function, implementing them as needed.
  8. Understand the principles and contribution to the overall business strategy, processes, and department development.
  9. Build effective relationships with the buying and merchandising team based on reliable, accurate, and relevant data.
  10. Ensure productive relationships between merchandising and other business areas, specifically the design and accounts teams.
  11. Deliver key information to the right people at the right time and present when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Currently a Senior Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser, or similar.
  2. Experience working in a fast-paced merchandising team.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. High level of Excel data analysis skills.
