The Role

Because of Alice are looking for a Junior Garment Technologist with at least 1 year's experience in a Garment Technologist or QC-related role with a strong focus on quality control. The Junior Garment Technologist will play an integralrole in maintaining the brand’s high standards of fit, finish, and construction across all product categories. Working closely with our Garment Technologist and suppliers, you’ll ensure all products meet agreed specifications and deliver complete product consistency across all collections on both newness and existing styles.

This role would suit someone who has already gained hands‑on training and experience in Garment Technology or QC within Women's Wear and is now looking to take the next step forward in their career within a fast-growing brand environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct detailed quality control checks on incoming samples and bulk production, ensuring all garments meet the brand’s standards for fit, finish and construction
  • Measure, check and prepare samples for fittings, internal reviews and QC inspections
  • Support the Garment Technologist during fit sessions, recording clear and accurate feedback
  • Review PP and Gold Seal samples to confirm adherence to all agreed specifications, labelling and quality standards
  • Track and maintain QC reports, fit comments, test results, lab dips, strike‑offs and bulk fabric approvals to ensure colour and quality consistency across styles
  • Maintain and update tech packs, ensuring all measurements, construction details and quality requirements are accurately communicated to suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers to communicate feedback, resolve quality or construction issues and follow up on corrective actions
  • Review factory QC inspection reports, escalating issues where necessary
  • Support the development of new products, ensuring consistency in fit / finish, fabrication and quality across collections
  • Help maintain fit and measurement libraries to ensure consistency and traceability
  • Record and review QC and returns data, highlighting key quality trends or recurring supplier issues
  • Collaborate with the design and buying teams to ensure technical and quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support the day to day organisation and administration within the garment technology department
Personal Specification
  • At least 1 year's experience in a Garment Technologist or QC-related role
  • A degree in Garment Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience liaising with global suppliers and third‑party partners
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and quality standards
  • Confident working with measurements, fit analysis, and technical specifications
  • A strong eye for premium design and finish, aligned with the Because of Alice aesthetic
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and solution‑oriented approach
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Motivated, collaborative, and genuinely passionate about delivering quality at every stage
  • Garment technology experience within womenswear is a plus
