Join us for a career and portfolio boosting opportunity.

We are offering one Anaesthetic Junior Clinical Fellow job at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, commencing August 2025. This is a fixed term post, initially for 6 months, with the possible opportunity to extend. Applicants should have full GMC registration and a minimum of three years of experience practising Anaesthesia.

The post is ideally suited to those who are between Core and Specialty (Stage 1 and Stage 2) training in Anaesthesia, including those who have yet to pass the Primary FRCA. More broadly, any experienced Anaesthetist seeking further clinical exposure and portfolio‑boosting opportunities in preparation for entering Specialty Training at ST4+ level is encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will join a busy, supportive department, providing anaesthesia for a broad range of specialties, and will participate in rotas covering Anaesthesia, Enhanced Perioperative Care (EPOC), Obstetrics and Critical Care (these may be undertaken in blocks).

Please note, this post is aligned to Trust specific pay scales and terms and conditions of service and is not linked to the 2016 doctors in training terms and conditions of service and pay scales.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Support the delivery of a high quality 24‑hour Anaesthetic service, including participation in out of hours rotas, covering EPOC (Enhanced Perioperative Care unit), Obstetrics and Critical Care, in addition to General (Anaesthesia) duties.
  • Work flexibly when required and depending upon demand.
