As we continue to innovate and grow, we are seeking a Junior Business Analyst (BA) to join our dynamic organisation.

Role Overview

The Junior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing improvement and delivery of business processes, systems, and projects across Kids Planet Day Nurseries. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and analytical individual to develop their skills and contribute to meaningful change within the early years sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements gathering: Work alongside business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document their requirements for new initiatives or process changes.
  • Agile collaboration: Participate in Agile methodologies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives. Support the team in breaking down requirements into user stories and ensuring continuous delivery of value.
  • Process mapping & analysis: Observe and map current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Data analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret data relating to nursery operations, enrolment, staff performance, and customer feedback to support decision-making.
  • Reporting: Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Project support: Assist in the coordination and delivery of business projects, including preparation of project documentation, tracking milestones, and supporting project meetings.
  • System support: Help in the implementation and optimisation of business systems, supporting user training and troubleshooting as required.
  • Continuous improvement: Contribute ideas to help improve processes and systems while promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Compliance & documentation: Ensure all business analysis activities are conducted in line with organisational policies, GDPR, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Based at Kids Planet Day Nurseries\' head office with occasional travel to nursery sites as required
  • Flexible working hours and options for hybrid working, subject to business needs
Essential Criteria
  • Education: A degree, HND, or equivalent qualification, ideally in Business, IT, Management, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and basic understanding of data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to break down complex problems and deliver practical solutions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative and willing to learn from others; able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Organisation: Good time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative: Proactive attitude and eagerness to take responsibility for personal development and contribute ideas.
Desirable Criteria
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a business analysis, administrative, or project support role.
  • Sector Knowledge: Knowledge of childcare and education,
  • Experience with business analysis tools, databases, or nursery management software.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver training or workshops to small groups.
