Junior Business Analyst

Location: National (remote)

Join the News Broadcasting Digital Team, where we drive digital innovation creating award‑winning national and local radio and podcasts which are must‑listens for millions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Product Manager and Senior BAs to learn how to translate complex business needs into ready sprint items. You will partner with developers to ensure system solutions align with long‑term business goals and technical specifications. Furthermore, you will champion value creation by ensuring that delivered stories provide clear feedback and benefits to the business.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Work within an Agile product team that comprises engineering, QA, product management, and UX&D.
  • Engage in business analysis activities that ensure we continue to develop and improve our widely recognised media products.
  • Analyze, document, and improve existing backend workflows, APIs, data structures, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather and translate business requirements into backend system designs.
  • Research best practices and strategic direction within the industry to share insights with the team.
What We're Looking For
  • Ability to elicit requirements through various techniques and demonstrate curiosity by asking "Why" until the root cause is found.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical people.
  • Ability to present information in different styles according to the need of the dev team and the stakeholder type.
  • Understanding of iterative product development including MVP, prototyping, and lean start‑up techniques.
  • Ability to create simple flowcharts or diagrams to visualize user journeys.
  • Knowledge of responsive websites, REST APIs, and tools such as Postman and GraphQL is desirable.
