LOCATION: Media City, Salford
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £28,000 - £38,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
A rota pattern across seven days leading BBC Breakfast and the BBC News at One. Unsociable hours and shifts, including nights and weekends are a key part of your pattern.
The BBC is looking for a creative broadcast journalist who is driven by ideas to produce content for BBC Breakfast and the BBC News at One.
We need a team player who can work under significant pressure and react to unfolding events, who has a understanding of BBC audiences and the ability to connect across all BBC platforms.
Breakfast and the News at One are two of the biggest BBC News programmes on BBC One. Based in a modern HQ at Media City in Salford the role involves dealing with issues and ideas involving senior politicians, major sports stars and A‑list TV and film stars. The programme has a reputation for shining a spotlight on the biggest stories and issues of the time and is the first Breakfast programme to win a prestigious BAFTA award.
